Iron Lion Inn B&B Guidelines & Policies
Reservations
The Iron Lion Inn is a boutique sized Inn, with 5 bedrooms available to the public. For this reason we collect full reservation payments upfront. (see cancellation policy below) Payments may be made electronically through Zelle, by check or money order at least a week out, or cash on arrival.
Check In
3:00PM – 10 PM. To serve you best please let us know your expected arrival time by the midday of the day you plan to arrive. Updates may be made as necessary by calling or texting - 315 460-0593. For other arrival times please call in advance to make arrangements; The fee for arrivals from 10pm till midnight is $20. NOTE: We generally prefer no after-midnight check-ins so as to not disturb our guests.
On Arrival
You will need to provide a valid credit card and drivers license information when in person registering.
Payments &
Cancellations
The full reservation is collected when you place your reservation. With Full House Reservations full payment is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable within 30 days of your stay. Otherwise refunds for cancellations for a full house reservations 30 days or more out, are limited to 50%.
Change of Plans
We understand that plans can change. If you are not sure of your plans it would be best to reserve with a larger venue. In the case of emergencies, 50% of your reservation may be applied to a stay at the B&B at another time.
Length of Stay
In our busy season from April 15th to November 1st, as well as all National Holidays, Special Area Events (such as Graduation or Parents Weekend at SU, the NY State Fair, etc) 2 nights is the minimum stay on Weekends. Saving for these times, all one night stays will incur a cleaning fee of $40 to compensate our excellent cleaning staff. We have no maximum length of stay. Longer Stays may be arranged based upon availability.
Occupancy
Room rates are based on double occupancy. Our rooms are designed to have a maximum of two guests per room. The Candy Striped Bedroom, and the Nantucket Bedroom provide for a 3rd person if necessary, with an additional fee per night of $50.
Bed Making
Not done on a daily basis, however, should you require any attention in your room, just let us know and we will see to it. Towels and sheets may be refreshed as required.
Towels
Please do not remove makeup with the plush towels color-coordinated to your room. Make up wash cloths are provided upon request.
Toiletries
EVEN our SOAPS are organic! We supply Dr. Bronner pump soap receptacles in each bathroom. In addition to which, each bath provides a full sized bath bar of fragrant soap that you may bring home with you! Healthy Shampoos and Conditioners are in each bath.
Breakfast
A Self Served Organic Continental Breakfast of Fruits, Yogurts, Cereals, Granolas, Cinnamon Cake, Coffee and a selection of Teas- is provided every morning from 7:30 am to 9:30am Monday through Friday – and from 8am to 10 am on Saturdays. To which offerings hot breakfast on Sunday includes Oatmeal and/or local Farm Eggs as you like them! Please advise us in advance of any dietary restrictions such as a preference for gluten free bread, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Snack Table
Complimentary Sparkling Spring Water, and Snacks are be available at any time at our 2nd Floor Snack Table. Hot coffee or tea is available at most any time as well.
In the Bedrooms
Please do not consume Food other than snacks from the snack table, water, coffee or tea in your room. Our Entertaining Rooms, such as the Music Room, Living Room and Dining Room, are available for your enjoyment at any time. In fact, the Inn is so beautiful we welcome you to invite your outside friends to visit here, have a meal, or drink wine in any of these spaces.
Smoking
The Iron Lion Inn is not anti-smoking! But for the benefit of our non-smoking guests, we do not allow smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors in any of 3 porch areas. So, take your pipe and cognac to these spaces & enjoy it with our blessings!
Noise
We ask all guests to be considerate of noise levels after 11pm – or before 7am.
The Kitchen
is not available for use due to insurance and local safety regulations, however we will be
happy to refrigerate something for you need us to.
Pets
The Iron Lion Inn regrets to say that pets are not permitted.
Visitors
The Iron Lion Inn is for the exclusive use of our registered guests only. You are welcome to bring your local friends and family to visit you here on the 1st floor only - and enjoy our dining room, piano, and entertaining areas. If you plan to invite more than a few guests, or wish to use the Dining Room for an event - as this may impact the plans of other guests, please advise us in advance, to avoid possible conflicts.
Parking
Parking is off street, and complimentary for one car per room. Your visiting guests may park on any of the adjacent streets or on our rear lot. (We’ll give you directions) PLEASE NOTE: The Iron Lion Inn is not responsible for damage to vehicles parked in our driveway unless we are providing VALET services. All other times parking in the driveway is at your own risk.
Special Services
The Iron Lion Inn is delighted to offer additional services that may help to make your stay extraordinary! Those services include, but are not limited to: Flowers and/or Champagne in your Bedroom, a world Class Caricaturist, and/or a Piano Player for your guests!
